Ode to Freshman Year
Lately I have been thinking about freshman year and wondering how I got through it. A different sort of summer.
I’m in the middle of reading Jack Kerouac’s On the Road. It makes me wish that people still hitch hiked and I could go across the country from car to car, truck to truck and trailer to trailer… but not get raped or kidnapped.

My summer consists of very few things in extreme amounts. In a typical day I:
1. Eat a bowl of cereal
2. See a friend or a few
3. Keep up with facebook’s newsfeed incredibly well
4. Do something sort of adventurous. [Hiking, biking, beaching, kyacking, swimming]
5. Watch many episodes of Bleach
6. Realize that I do not have a job
7. Contemplate some heavy stuff
